Essay 1-01a: Dear Host Family

Hi, my name is Nana. I'm from Kumamoto in Japan. Please call me Nana. I'm nineteen years old and my birthday is July. I have been living with my parents, my grand parents, an old sister and a younger brother. My father is an independent businessman, interior decorator. My mother is a nurse in Turukami hospital in Tamana. My family is very livery and fun. How many parents does your family have? I want to live together in friendship!

I'm not a shy person and like to talk a lot, so I work in ice-cream shop in 31. I want to do the service industry because I like to be close to other. It is the first part-time-jobs, so I made a lot of mistake and I was got angry. I hated that job, but now I feel a sense of satisfaction. In the future, I want to work at a company in overseas. 

What sport your family like? I like all of sports but I like basketball the best. I started playing it when I was nine years old and continued it until high school. I like watching basketball on TV but I'm not quite familiar with NBA. I have been to America once five years ago to play basketball. Then I really enjoyed playing it and moved because I could play the home of basketball. So I want to play again!!

Do you like Japan? I'm going tell you about Japanese culture and lifestyles. In my hometown Tamana, there are many nature. I have grown in such surroundings. On March there are many fire fly in dark sky. It is very famous and beautiful. If you have a chance, come to Japan and visit Tamana!! My family welcome to your call.

I really glad to be able to stay with your home and I want to meet your family as I can as possible. I can't wait! Please tell me many things about Americans culture, tradition and etiquette. I'm looking forward to enjoying other country's lifestyle. Thank you!!
