BR 1-02: Stories of Monster

"Ben Boggle lay awake in a cold sewat. How could he sleep with a monster under his bed?"(2004, p.3)

There are three stories in this book and appeare three monsters.In this book, my favorite monster is The bed monster. He is very small and rarely appear in the front of people. But one day he was caught by a boy who can't study. The monster scared a boy and sob, but they were gradually close. Because of a boy didn't good at study, the smart monster helped a boy and they became best friend! When I finished reading  the  book, I became nostalgic feeling. When I was young, I scared monster and goast. I was afraid of them but I wanted to became friend. It is so fun and feel strong, isn't it? I want to read the book who was afraid of Monster!!

BR 1-01: Beauty and The Beast

"There was once a very rich man, named Pierre, who gave his three daughters everything they wanted."(2006, p.3)

The story is a prince who was turned by an angry fairy into a Beast because he refused to marry her. Only the love of a beautiful girl could make him human again. One day Pierre reached  the castle which lives in Beast. In the garden, there were rosebushes. Because of Beauty loves it, he plucked them and caught Beast. He demand to send Beauty to him. Pierre couldn't that but Beauty read the letter. "I took a rose from the garden of a monstrous beast and he has sworn to kill me...." when she read that, she bravery ride to the Beast's enchanted castle in his place. Then they lived together and had good time but she is gradually homesick. Beast forgive she come home, but they promised  she return in two weeks. She had great time in hers house and couldn't buck as promised. When Beauty was back in the garden, the Beast lying under the rosebush. He was dying! Beauty cried and she kissed him. " You can't die! Please, Beast. I love you. Don't die." She sad. Just then, there was a blinding flash and the Beast disappeared and appeared a handsome prince! And then, they lived happily forever.

I choose this book because I had seen this movie and like it. I respect Beauty's courage, feel she think her father and didn't judge human by the apparent. This book tell us how wonderful to love the people and how important to have courage. I recommend this book. Please read it!

Last Saturday, I went to coast with my friend. I was moved because I saw the sea for the first time in a long time. It is very beautiful and smelled of the tide. My friend Tomoko started collecting some beautiful shell and gave me. I like it and it's my tresure! She and I talked a lot of things. She is a very humorist and she always makes me happy. I like the time spend with her!!

Look at that picture. There is a shipyard. Some friends work there and make very big ship! In the future, I want to take a ship which is they made.

My House

This is my house and landscape around it.  My grandmother like to grow some flowers and every year, she bring into many beautiful flowers. My house is very old but it is a traditional house that subsequent generations. There is a pizza pot. It was made by my father. Sometimes we bake the pizza in the pot and we have a barbecue in the next. My family had had a turtle and carps for a long time. It is almost cared by my grandfather.

I introduce my family.  First my brother is fifteen years old and like to play soccer. Now he is a Ozu high school student and live in the dormitory. My mother looks very lonely because he leave him house  the first time. I'm lucky because I do not have to compete the order of the bath! We hope he experience many things and grow mentally and physically.

 

Essay 1-01a: Dear Host Family

Hi, my name is Nana. I'm from Kumamoto in Japan. Please call me Nana. I'm nineteen years old and my birthday is July. I have been living with my parents, my grand parents, an old sister and a younger brother. My father is an independent businessman, interior decorator. My mother is a nurse in Turukami hospital in Tamana. My family is very livery and fun. How many parents does your family have? I want to live together in friendship!

I'm not a shy person and like to talk a lot, so I work in ice-cream shop in 31. I want to do the service industry because I like to be close to other. It is the first part-time-jobs, so I made a lot of mistake and I was got angry. I hated that job, but now I feel a sense of satisfaction. In the future, I want to work at a company in overseas. 

What sport your family like? I like all of sports but I like basketball the best. I started playing it when I was nine years old and continued it until high school. I like watching basketball on TV but I'm not quite familiar with NBA. I have been to America once five years ago to play basketball. Then I really enjoyed playing it and moved because I could play the home of basketball. So I want to play again!!

Do you like Japan? I'm going tell you about Japanese culture and lifestyles. In my hometown Tamana, there are many nature. I have grown in such surroundings. On March there are many fire fly in dark sky. It is very famous and beautiful. If you have a chance, come to Japan and visit Tamana!! My family welcome to your call.

I really glad to be able to stay with your home and I want to meet your family as I can as possible. I can't wait! Please tell me many things about Americans culture, tradition and etiquette. I'm looking forward to enjoying other country's lifestyle. Thank you!!

I'm seldom shy but I'm not good at speaking English, so i can't tell you things clearly. If I am in such situation, I'll try to tell you by hand gestures. Anyway I want to talk a lot with you and your family! 

What sport your family like? I like all of sports but I like basketball the best. i stated  playing it when I was nine years old and continued it until high school.
