Essay 2-01a: Three Languages I Have Learned

I can speak Japanese perfectly because I am native speaker. Since I was born, I have listened my mother's voice, and learned Japanese. My first word I said was Mom. I don't remember at all but I think everyone call so because she is a greatest person for baby. Then I learned Japanese step by step for my family.

When I entered the elementary school, I started practice Chinese character and Japanese letter. In my school, we have to dictation of Chinese character and read out text book every day, and it was our homework. I didn't like homework but it would really necessary things to build up our ability. Although I didn't like that but I always full marks in the Chinese character tests!

And I have learned calligraphy for ten year. It was good for me to write beautiful letter. I really liked to going to this class. My teacher was  very gentle and funny person and sometimes I tried hard, she gave me ice cream or some snacks. It was the reason that I was looking forward to going to there. Thanks to teacher, I am good at hand writing and could take a licence.

In the middle school, we started to learning English. I couldn't understand this language at all. In fact, I didn't like English. "Why I should learn this language? I am Japanese!!" Always thought  about like that during English class. But I was second grade in junior high school, I had a chance that I can go America to play basketball game. Because of I like to travel, I decided to go there soon. Speak to America, I need to more space, so I'll cut out. Any way, America was awesome. I loved  English and my host family. Then I wanted to learn more. It  was good experience and chance for me.

After came back Japan, I liked English class the best all of any classes. I felt everything was fun! I knew the teachers sad, and could puzzle out test easily. But the most interested things was singing. In our class, we sing a song before the class. We sung "We are the world" and " Hey Jude" and so on. Every month teacher changed the song, so we could know many songs. I enjoyed singing and thought I'm cool because I can sing a song in English!

When I entered the university, we had to chose and learn one language. There were Germany, Spanish, Russian, French. I choose Germany because this language use alphabet, so I thought it was easy to learn. But it was so complexity. Crammer was the most difficult for me. There is a lot of adverb and inflected forms of a words. I'm groaning on the floor in agony during examination time. I won't to keep learning German any more! So I want to challenge Spanish next time.

Eight years passed I have learn English. But I can't speak well and have some blush to speak. I gave up learning Germany, so I have to master English. To learn other languages are very good for us because we can touch other culture and have a wider view. The reason why I didn't like English was didn't know the world. I knew the pleasure to speak non-Japanese. I knew delicious food in other country. I knew big difference lifestyle and personality. I'm really interest in abroad now. So I want to keep learning and want to go around the world.

My favorite animals

My favorite animals are dog and gorilla. I have two dogs. Their name is Sora and Cyako. They are so cute and very friendly. I love them and my family love too! The reason why I like dogs is they are cheer on me any time. If I sad, they close to me, and sit by me. It is so cute isn't it? I was helped many times. Maybe they can know human's feeling and thinking. They trust us and we trust them too! It is very important things for each other. The reason why I like gorilla is they are so kind. It means kind to human, they kind to their family. Male try to protect associate. As anyone well knows, they are very strong, but have a pure and gentle heart. I like this. My type! It is joke but I want to know more about gorilla. There was a gorilla in Kumamoto zoo before but now he had die. So I will go Fukuoka zoo to meet gorilla!! I can't wait!

Elementary School Memory

I was so loud student both school and house because my mother always said to me, You should talk quieter! But I didn't like that word. My favorite elementary memory is gone to school trip in Nagasaki. It was the first time to go there with my friend. So I couldn't sleep at night before the trip. I was very looking forward to going there and in the bus, we had to show something. For example, magic, singing, comic storytelling and a comic dialogue by two comedies. I did the last one. I invited my funny friend and practice every day. In this time, we were child, so stories almost copied from entertainer. Enter ourselves key stage, we were very nerves. But everyone laughed so much, so we were so happy. We could successes our performance!! Then our school trip was good! I had very wonderful memories.

Something special I did during this vacation

I went to America for one week to as a summer study abroad program. I did homestay the Dunham’s. What a wonderful family they were! There were no problems except I couldn’t well. But they tried to understand me. I really appreciate them. They took me a lot of place, for example vallyfair, mall of America, Twins game, fishing, softball game and so on. There are many memories. I love them and miss them. I want to see right now. I like American lifestyle and habits. So, I want to find job in America, and live there in the future. It is my dream! The most interesting thing is shooting. My host father Tim is very good at shooting and like it. He took me target practice every week. I was looking forward to going there because there were many funny friends. They were so kind and taught me how to shot. Anyway My stay in America was so fun and awesome!!

Good and bad points about summer

I like summer better than winter because we don't need wear bulky clothes and also we don't need freeze cold. The good point of summer is play to a lot of activities in outside and late sun set. People enjoy swimming in the poor and sea. And food is also good. Everyone eat Kakigouri and ice cream. It is the best way to overcome the hot day! The bad things in summer are increase the accident. Heat disorder, water accident and alcohols poisoning and so on. There are many dangerous things in summer but we can enjoy this season if you protect your life by yourself.

How I study during vacation

I will study use by English Central and typing homework. And recently I read Asahi weekly, so I read every day and research the word that I don't know. I think my pronunciations will improve by English Central but my poor vocabulary can't. For the second semester and in the future, I have to prepare. And I will go Karaoke, and sing English song! I did two times before but it was so difficult! I want to practice every day!! I can send email for my host family, so I'll sent them for keep good relation and better my writing skills.

What classes I will next term

I will take Speaking, Writing, Listening, international community and Japan. These are compulsory subject.  At the first semester, I was often late for class especially begins at nine o’clock and skips the class a lot. So, I have to improve such problems. I am interest in international community because in the future, I want to work abroad. In this class we will learn about relations between Japan and America and other countries. Sometimes I don't want to go school because of I am lazy, but I’ll do my best this semester. I will take American letter view. This class, we will learn about American letter from my favorite teacher. I can't wait!

My vacation

I really enjoyed playing with new friend in this summer. I met a lot of people at part time job and summer study abroad program. It is so fun but little nerves. I knew the history and the way of contact to people in other country. And I worked hard to travel in the future. I want to go around the world, so I have to do more hard. I watched many movies in this vacation. For example, dear jonh and Leon. I could do my favorite things a lot. But I think it wasn't enough to study my desk. It was my regret.
